Fly fishing
Fly fishing is the ultimate opportunity to combine sport with nature. The Maniototo is one of New Zealand's best-kept secrets when it comes to fly fishing. Guide Dean Whaanga is an internationally recognised fishing guide and fly fishing champion of the Otago/Southland region. He has fished a wide variety of water throughout the South Island, and has an intimate knowledge of the fisheries throughout the Otago/Southland region. Dean's main emphasis is client satisfaction and safety.
Through Taste Naseby, you have the opportunity to experience the fishing trip of a lifetime - whether you be a beginner or an expert.
We recommend you allow at least two days for fishing, in case the weather is unkind. Of course, you may prefer several days, especially after you've experienced the thrill of the catch and the magnificent beauty of the Maniototo.
